For my A2 Media coursework, I am faced with the above choices (in the form of a bubbl.us) of projects to work work on.
This post will allow me decide which option is best. Firstly, I am confident that I do not want to create a local newspaper page and must decide between creating a short film and a music video.
Short film
I have a few ideas for creating a short film and have prepared ideas for potential short films. Firstly, an idea would be to create a mockumentary titled "Octopus man" that follows a person who identifies as an octopus (wearing an octopus mask) going around in their day to day lives. This film would be comical and would take influence from the actions of transgender people as the octopus person says that they believe they were born as an octopus and was born into the wrong body.
For my second idea, this film would take influence from the 2013 video game "The Last of Us" (set during the winter period) and stars a young female (Ellie) being followed and attacked by a male (David) and then subsequently beating him. After that, the male awakes (tied to a chair) and is interrogated by the girl with another male present in the room (Joel). This film would be far more serious but would most likely prove difficult to create.
